How to screenshot web video precisely — Still Library and stills stacks

Updated 19 Sep 2026

A precise web-video screenshot is the exact frame you need, with a timecode attached. On CutGo Timeline, frame-step, click screenshot, download the still, and keep it in the Still Library. CutGo is not a page recorder and not a whole-video downloader.

Stills download is an output in the extension (trial, then Pro). CutGo Studio on the web exports for free. Not an NLE.

What to click

  1. Open CutGo Timeline on the page.
  2. Pause and use previous / next frame.
  3. Click screenshot — the file downloads and lands in the Still Library.
  4. Add notes or color labels. Export a Stills Stack or Contact Sheet when you need a sequence.

Example: dozens of reference stills in Downloads become unusable. The Still Library keeps timecode order so you can check cuts without guessing filenames.
