About CutGo
Add a professional timeline to web video
What CutGo is
CutGo is mainly a Chrome and Edge browser extension. CutGo Timeline sits on web video for frame stepping, speed review, ranges, scopes, markers, stills, Shot Detection, storyboards, AI Image Analysis, and reference export.
YouTube, Vimeo, and Instagram offer an embedded timeline; TikTok and similar pages use a floating timeline.
CutGo Studio in the extension is a fuller workspace closer to a traditional editing interface. Timeline already supports Shot Detection, storyboards, and AI Image Analysis; Studio improves deep organization by laying out the program monitor, waveform, full timeline, shot list, and Storyboard Desk together. CutGo Studio on the web is separate: no install, local files only, entirely free, and no sign-in. To break down original videos on the web, use the browser extension.
What CutGo is not
- It is not a full editor for cutting a finished film, color grading, mixing, or project delivery.
- It is not an AI video generator.
- Shot Detection finds likely cuts; it does not automatically understand a story.
- CutGo at cutgo.net and cutgo.cn is not affiliated with other products or projects that use the same name.
Who it is for
Directors, editors, advertising creatives, film students, and anyone who studies references shot by shot.

Privacy and AI
Video breakdown, local projects, and Shot Detection run in the browser. CutGo does not upload a full video by default. AI frame analysis currently uses the API provider and key selected by the user.
