CutGo Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
CutGo is mainly a Chrome and Edge browser extension for video breakdown and editing assistance. The extension includes CutGo Timeline, the Side Panel, and CutGo Studio in the extension. A separate CutGo Studio on the web handles local files only and is entirely free. Contact: tianxp315@gmail.com.
2. Our basic approach
- CutGo does not sell personal data.
- Media, storyboards, notes, settings, and project data are generally processed and stored on your device.
- Browser-based creator tools process files locally unless a feature clearly states otherwise.
- Account, licensing, update, and payment-status services are provided through secure CutGo endpoints at www.cutgo.cn.
3. Information we process
Information stored locally
- Extension settings, shortcuts, site preferences, and trial state.
- Shot lists, still images, annotations, timeline edits, and local projects.
- User-provided AI API keys, stored in extension storage and sent directly to the selected provider when used.
- A random installation identifier used to manage Pro access, currently limited to three active browser installations per account. CutGo does not read a hardware serial number.
Account and transaction information
When you sign in or buy CutGo Pro, we process your email address, verification status, random installation identifier, session token, order reference, payment status, entitlement status, and related support records. We use this information to authenticate you, fulfill purchases, prevent duplicate fulfillment, manage installations, provide support, and handle refunds.
International checkout is processed by Creem as merchant of record. Creem handles payment-card information, billing details, and applicable taxes under its own terms and privacy policy. CutGo receives transaction identifiers, customer email, amount, currency, product reference, and payment status needed to fulfill the order; CutGo does not receive or store your full card number.
Media and web-page access
When you actively use CutGo, the extension may access the current tab's URL and title, visible HTML5 video, frames you choose to capture, and media requests needed for a user-directed local workflow. CutGo may use browser tab capture only after a user starts a supported capture or export flow and direct frame access is unavailable. Capture stops when the operation completes, fails, is cancelled, times out, or its workspace closes.
CutGo does not request browser cookie-storage permission. A browser may attach an existing site session to a media request, but CutGo does not enumerate or copy the site's cookie store. Signed-in or protected media may not work.
Optional AI processing
- With your own API key, selected frames and prompts go directly to the provider you choose.
- CutGo cloud AI is not available in this release; the extension does not present a cloud-credit analysis option.
- CutGo does not silently upload full videos or use project media for advertising or model training.
Analytics
CutGo may collect limited product analytics such as an anonymous installation or visitor identifier, extension version, browser and operating-system family, page path on CutGo websites, and named product actions. These events are used to understand reliability and product usage. Extension analytics do not include the source page URL, video title, selected text, media content, annotations, or local filenames.
4. Why we process information
- Provide local video-analysis and export functions requested by you.
- Authenticate accounts and deliver paid entitlements.
- Send verification and transaction-related email.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and support customers.
- Meet legal, accounting, payment, and dispute obligations.
5. Sharing and service providers
We share only the information needed with providers that support account email, payment processing, hosting, analytics, and AI services explicitly selected with your own API key. Each provider processes information under its own legal terms. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users and services, or in connection with a lawful business transfer.
6. Retention and deletion
Local extension data generally remains until you remove it or uninstall the extension. Account sessions expire, while purchase and entitlement records are retained as needed to fulfill the license, prevent fraud, handle disputes, and meet legal obligations. Payment providers may retain their own billing records.
To request account deletion, email tianxp315@gmail.com from the account email and identify the account to delete. We may need to retain limited transaction or compliance records where required by law or a payment provider.
7. Security and international processing
We use HTTPS and reasonable access controls, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries different from yours. By choosing those services, you understand that applicable data-protection rules may differ.
8. Children
CutGo is intended for professional and creator workflows and is not directed to children under 13.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The current date will remain visible here. Questions or requests: tianxp315@gmail.com.
